Talk It Out will be an evening of stories, speakers, and open conversations about the current work environment; what’s scary, what's positive, and what you can learn from your peers in the design community to find stability as well as opportunities for growth.
IxDA NYC members will share their own personal stories, followed by two amazing speakers. Jared Tredly, Director from the design recruiting firm Salt, and Gaylan Sankey, Principal Strategist, HR at ServiceNow, will offer their perspectives on the current employment landscape and the silver linings they've seen.

From Australia to NYC, I’ve been working with Designers and building design teams for the last 10 years. I’ve been fortunate as a recruiter to purely focus on Design and work with Designers at every level from Grad to Chief Exp. Officers. I’m a huge proponent of the UX community and supporting it the way it’s supported me! I love connecting designers with each other, introducing mentors, reviewing folios and really empowering designers to get the most out of their career. I’m uniquely placed to be in the mechanics of Design careers – changing jobs, getting promotions and really driving your design career forward – I’m all about it!
