This Year’s Theme: Solidarity and Transformation

2020 opened the doors for interaction design to change how we work, connect and live. For World Interaction Design Day 2021 we’ll explore how we adapt to a changing world, rally around new ideas and find ways to thrive despite all the challenges.

Here’s a few example thoughts around this year’s theme:

• How is your work ethos or focus changing? What entrenched assumptions have you revisited?

• How are your collaboration processes and/or tools different now?

• What changes in our ways of working do you want to stick around? What fringe benefits/consequences are you hoping to capture?

• Has 2020 presented new audiences for your work? Is this new perspective affecting your practice as we look to the future?
