Hiring market updates

Join IxDA NYC for an evening of insight about recruitment trends: what to expect as a job seeker, how to be competitive as a hiring manager.

The hiring market has remained strong, most of 2021 and we’re seeing design talent continue to move from one job to another.

Whether you are a job seeker preparing to enter the job market yourself, or a hiring manager trying to navigate a competitive market, join us for an evening with Jared Tredly, Director from the design recruiting firm Bamboo Crowd.

Jared will share his insights on market trends and forecasts of what to expect as we move into 2022. He’ll share his experience as a recruitment professional – and highlight trends he’s seeing in hiring processes: timelines, titles, salaries, and design exercises. As well as the successful ways both job seekers and hiring companies have stood out from the crowd.

Topics covered

  • Job market trends

  • Job seekers: what to expect in the interview process

  • Hiring managers: how to be competitive

You’ll also have a chance to ask Jared any questions that might be more specific to your circumstance.

We hope that by the end of the night you’ll walk away with a clearer understanding of how to plan your next step. Whether it be some new ideas and strategies for approaching the interview and recruitment process or gaining more confidence in what to look for in your next role.

About our speaker
Jared Tredly (Director - Bamboo Crowd)

From Australia to NYC, I’ve been working with Designers and building design teams for the last 10 years. I’ve been fortunate as a recruiter to purely focus on Design and work with Designers at every level from Grad to Chief Exp. Officers. I’m a huge proponent of the UX community and supporting it the way it’s supported me! I love connecting designers with each other, introducing mentors, reviewing folios, and really empowering designers to get the most out of their careers. I’m uniquely placed to be in the mechanics of Design careers – changing jobs, getting promotions, and really driving your design career forward – I’m all about it!
